A documentary revealing the secrets behind the success of the Mediterranean diet through science.

This documentary gathers the latest scientific research from across the globe, demonstrating how the Mediterranean diet can slow or even halt some of the most significant diseases of our time — including Alzheimer’s, cancer, and cardiovascular disease.

Alongside researchers, top chefs from across Europe are increasingly incorporating these scientific findings into the daily practices of their restaurants. The documentary has already been featured at festivals such as the Málaga Film Festival (Spain), CineDoc (Greece), CPH:DOX (Denmark), ParisScience (France), the Prague Science Film Fest (Czech Republic), and the SILBERSALZ International Science & Media Festival (Germany)

AN INTERNATIONAL CO-PRODUCTION OF SHARED CONTENT

Three producers from Greece, France, and Catalonia join forces on a multi-format project.

The Perfect Meal project is a documentary co-production available in multiple formats. On one hand, there is a 52-minute television version focused primarily on the scientific aspect, produced for the European channel ARTE. There is also a 71-minute feature-length version, where science is combined with anthropology and gastronomy, intended for cinemas and broadcasters such as RTVE and ERT. Finally, a five-part series of 26-minute episodes has been created for streaming platforms.

BEYOND AUDIOVISUAL

A 360° project featuring exhibitions and lectures.

The Perfect Meal is not just a documentary; the project also has an educational outreach component on several fronts. Beyond audiovisual distribution, it includes a traveling exhibition featuring the work of various European photographers, which has already been shown in Turkey, Italy, Cyprus, Greece, Croatia, and Albania. Additionally, the project offers a program of talks, showcookings, and school workshops focused on nutrition and the Mediterranean diet.
