Jo mai mai
Never have I ever

Much more than a young adult’s series.

Two seasons

2024-2025

A vibrant, emotional series that captures the magic of summers spent at camps. This fictional series highlights the firsts that mark our lives, reflecting the generational clash between parents and children and exploring universal feelings that affect us throughout our lives: the fears, the joys and the surprises that lead to changes as we grow up.

For 3Cat with the support of the Department of Culture of the Generalitat de Catalunya

Season 1 broke 3Cat’s audience record with more than three million views.

A transmedia fiction with remakes of Catalan music and a parallel world on social media.

Jo mai mai features songs that embrace both young audiences and the generation that grew up with the Catalan rock boom, with tracks by musicians as diverse as Els Pets, Bad Gyal, Stay Homas and Joan Dausà. The series boasts a collection of covers performed by the actors in the series that are organically included into the narrative while also bringing new colour and meaning to the compositions.

THE STORYLINES

The two seasons feature complex storylines that address issues that affect young people as well as people of all ages. The episodes address difficult topics such as toxic relationships, the discovery of sexual identity and young people’s mental health.

YOUNG STARS

The cast of the series is mainly made up of young actresses and actors:

Claudia Riera, Albert Salazar, Pere Ponce, Mireia Aixalà, Jan Buxaderas, Maria Morera, Joel Cojal, Berta Rabascall, Aleix Otem, La Imèn, Adrià Salazar, Júlia Westermeyer, Júlia Padonou, David Menéndez, Moha Amazian i Mar Pawlowsky.

The show is shot in the great outdoors, with a dynamic cinematographic image and narrative.

THE SHOW AS A COMMUNICATOR

Maria Morera talks to us about mental health.

We have conceptualized, imagined, and created a series of eight video capsules for the social media channels of the Department of Health of the Government of Catalonia.
With a visual style adapted to the current language of social media, Maria Morera speaks directly to the camera with a close and straightforward tone. The scripts, written with the guidance of the Department of Health, address topics such as anxiety, depression, self-harm, and social media addiction—issues that the series Jo mai mai explores through its characters.

Within the series, Maria Morera plays a leading role as Rita, a girl with high intellectual potential who struggles to fit in. During the camp, she experiences episodes of anxiety, engages in self-harm for the first time, and openly shares that she has had suicidal thoughts.
