A summary of the most unique museum

Can the annual reports of companies and institutions be eye-catching? Here at Abacus Idea we believe so. They should also be brief, clear and concise. When it comes to reports, less is always more.

In this spirit we have condensed all of MACBA’s activities in 2023 into a report as clean, white and beautiful as the walls of the contemporary museum.

This meticulous publishing project is completely tailored to the participatory and multifaceted museum that is intimately connected to the vibrant communities around it, the team that makes it possible, the artists who offer their aesthetic visions and their critical viewpoints, the visitors, the neighbourhood of Raval and the city of Barcelona, as well as the creative and professional fabric of Catalonia and the rest of the world.

In this report we discover a highly diverse museum that showcases its many sides, a museum of communities, open to the neighbourhood, the city and the sector.

And the contents of our report prove it. To do so, we have relied on the invaluable collaboration of Cesca Castellví Llavina (texts) and the art direction of Mar Ferrer.
