Jo mai mai / Never have I ever

Much more than a young adult’s series.

Premiere on 22 January 2024

A series that deals with the early events that mark our lives, while also reflecting the generational clash between parents and children. This fictional story explores the universal feelings that affect all ages: the fear, joy and surprise that come with the changes that growing up entails.

A SUMMER THEY WILL NEVER FORGET

A transmedia project with remakes of Catalan popular music and a world parallel to social media with the desire to transcend linear fiction.

Jo mai mai (Never have I ever) features 16 songs that will appeal to both young audiences and the generation that grew up with the Catalan rock boom, with songs by musicians as diverse as Els Pets, Bad Gyal and Joan Dausà, with contemporary covers organically performed by the series’ actors during the episodes.

THE PLOT

This series features complex plots that address issues that affect young people and their families, such as friendship and personal growth, bullying, addiction, gender identity and sexuality, the use and misuse of social media, and young people’s mental health.

YOUNG STARS

Claudia Riera (Les de l’hoquei, El Internado: Las cumbres), Jan Buxaderas (Servir y proteger, Com si fos ahir), Maria Morera (Libertat, La vida sense la Sara Amat, Cucut), Biel Rossell (La Mesías, Cucut), Zoé Arnao (Las niñas, La casa entre los cactus…), Joel Cojal, Berta Rabascall, Aleix Otem and La Imèn.
